hm
Yesterday was a picnic, which was very nice.
Today I finished transferring my files from the old comp to my new one. However, I am not done. I still have my OOOOOLD comp -- turned on today for the first time in 3 years -- my dad's laptop, and my mom's old comp from work. Ugh.
Then, my room needs cleaning desperately, I need to shop and pack, and see various movies: 40-year-old Virgin, Bros. Grimm, and thatnecrophilia tim burton movie, and the Freddy Kreuger version of poto
My OOLLLLD comp keeps dying. 'tis sad.
Things I am angry at:
-redundant progs, such as "Dell Picture Studio 3" and "Dell Picture Studio 2"... which open up "jasc Photo album 5" and "jasc Photo album 4," respectively. I would normally delete the "older" versions, but I'm confused because I can't tell which one is the "free trial" thing. (ie, one might be a full prog and the other might be the shitty one that's only temporarily the full prog). I guess I'll just wait for it to run out...
-redundant files. Why is there a "My Documents" and "My Downloads" in C: when different folders of the same name exist in "Heather's Documents?"
-useless folders, such as "My eBooks" and "filelib." I have no idea waht "filelib" is for, or "cyberlink" (...there's something in that folder) but they clutter up my "Heather's Documents" folder. I'm paranoid about deleting them
-random install files such as the ones hidden in a folder called "Downloaded Program Updates." When I click on it it says "jasc photoshit updated." It's a patch. I can't tell whether this means I can delete it, or whether it's a program that checks for updates.
-Dell Jukebox, because it keeps telling me to buy the upgraded version every time i open or close the fucking thing.
-Dell Photo Album/jasc Photo album. I am suspecting they are the same thing. They also tell me to buy shit every time i open/close them.
All of this shit is making me feel like I know a lot less about my computer than I thought I did. That makes me sad.
